The aim of this research is to determine the efforts of the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service in preventing child violence in Padangsidimpuan City and to find out the obstacles faced by the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service in preventing child violence in Padangsidimpuan City. The method in this research is qualitative research which is more descriptive in nature. The data collection techniques used in this research are as follows, observation, primary data collection and secondary data collection through interviews and reviewing books.
The conclusion of this research is that the efforts of the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service in preventing child violence in Padangsidimpuan City include: distributing or distributing pamphlets, banners containing the prevention of violence against children, conducting outreach to the community, empowering institutions such as (PATBM ), collaborating with non-governmental organizations in conducting joint outreach with legal and police officers, Socializing website-based application services for e-reporting and e-consultation, where this application makes it easier for people to report via the application without having to come to the PPPA office and Socializing network strengthening between service providing institutions, and improving the quality of life of children, this socialization aims to develop the value of character education in students. And the obstacles faced by the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service in Preventing Child Violence in Padangsidimpuan City include: the community is less proactive, the community thinks it will cost money if they report it, there is a lack of human resources trained in handling cases of violence against children and non-governmental organizations do not have profit and budget, so that non-governmental organizations working in the field of women and children find it difficult to develop.
